Howard Smith (CSC) presented a keynote speech at BPM Europe 2008 which introduced Southbeach Notation: A Marriage of Innovation and Business Process Management - Applying the Methods of Innovation to Re-Invent Business Process

Howard Smith (CSC) presented 'Process Invention' at Shared Insights, Boston, Nov, 2006. The vision for Southbeach Notation was compared with the development of the modern BPMS and BPMN and supported by a Fortune 50 case study.
P-TRIZ presentation at the British Computer Society (BCS), London, March 2006
Howard Smith (CSC) was invited to present P-TRIZ at the BCS, London. The three hour seminar focussed on the rationale for extending modern TRIZ to the process domain. The need for meshing innovation modeling languages to BPMN was described.
Leading Edge Forum, TRIZ for CIOs
Howard Smith and Mark Burnett (CSC) presented "TRIZ for CIOs - The Theory of Inventive Problem Solving", to CSC's Leading Edge Forum, May 2005. The webinar to CSC clients worldwide focussed on how TRIZ was being applied in the world. It described the work of CSC to develop a TRIZ competency.
Innovate Europe 2005
The early ideas for Southbeach Notation and Tools were first described in public at a presentation entitled Improve Everything Always. It was presented at Innovate Europe 2005, hosted by Imaginatik.
The climate of globalization and commoditization was used as the backdrop to set forth a view of a new generation of a design driven (executable) software platform for innovation.
