When Southbeach Modeller is installed, a subfolder .../southbeach is created in the .../Documents folder of your computer. The models installed with the software describe both the user interface and the notation, with a focus on the different methodologies it can support.
A path to this folder is provided in the Explorer panel - Model tab. (See the View menu if this panel is not visible.) The Explorer panel lets you drill down into sub-folders and sub-models, right down to individual elements of the repository. Add additional paths as required, Tools - Options - Paths.

A white paper explains how, using abstract models and creativity rules, it is possible to develop templates for many innovation and problem solving methods.
During the early development of the notation and its supporting software, the founders provided education about the potential of Southbeach Modeller via a series of blogs. Early adopters of the tool found these useful in understanding both the notation and its application for visual thinking and ideation.
The blogs remain a source of inspiration but are now rarely updated.
